System Administrator

INSC is an IT consulting and managed Services provider to businesses within the financial services, health care. Legal and Educational verticals. INSC offers technology hosting, monitoring, management, helpdesk, disaster prevention and recovery, as well as 360° cybersecurity programs, including virtual CISO, Incident response, Security Operations (SOC) and cybersecurity consulting.


  • IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware
  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments Internet and intranet systems for client and Innovative networks.
  • Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, Office365, etc
  • Configure vendor software for proper use at INSC including desktops, web servers, databases and terminal server access (Citrix, VMWare)
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions
  • Citrix Troubleshooting
  • Implements, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots and evaluates existing and new Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
  • Setup and maintenance of both Client and Innovative backups including server imaging
  • Ability to manage complex exchange environments including adding/removing users, archiving rules, provisioning additional storage, verifying backups, managing quotas, monitoring capacity, 3rd party applications, and responding to escalated exchange issues.
  • Responsible for installation, migration and maintenance of Windows Domain controller, active directory and LDAP based authentications
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Provide Level-3 technical support to INSC Help Desk.
  • Projects assigned by executive management on a required basis.
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
  • System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations


  • Previous experience in an MSP environment is strongly desired
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of various versions of MS Exchange
  • Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 Migrations to Exchange 2013 and Office 365
  • A BS degree or equivalent, plus three-to-five years networking experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Certifications (MCSE etc.) in infrastructure and data management are a plus
  • VMware certification of any kind
  • Citrix certification of any kind
  • Office 365 a plus
  • They must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical information to all audiences.
  • They must work with a sense of urgency. They must assume command and control when service is degraded.
  • Quick, intuitive understanding of network intricacies
  • Experience with capacity planning
  • Practical, non-religious approach to system administration
