INSC is an IT consulting and managed Services provider to businesses within the financial services, health care. Legal and Educational verticals. INSC offers technology hosting, monitoring, management, helpdesk, disaster prevention and recovery, as well as 360° cybersecurity programs, Incident response, Security Operations (SOC) and cybersecurity consulting.

We are seeking an individual to install, troubleshoot and maintain a Cisco enterprise infrastructure, including converged networks, wireless, and building systems. This is a highly technical, hands-on position which will require experience with Cisco networks. The successful individual will be highly pro-active, a self-starter, and comfortable working towards highly strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks
  • Primary engineer on customer projects including design implementation, testing, and support for new deployments, expansions, environment refresh and upgrades
  • Supporting existing customers network, wireless. SD-WAN and firewall solutions
  • Provide network engineering consulting services:
  • Assessment, design and implementation of data and secure networking environments
  • Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks
  • Creates technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation plans, configurations, and change orders
  • Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance
  • Provides peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members
  • Assists other team members with deployment or best practices
  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies
  • Obtain vendor-related certifications, to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with peers at vendor partners

Required Skills:

  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
  • Complex routing and switching solutions
  • Concepts/protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, multicast, VPNs, VRF
  • Emerging concepts such as software defined networking and intent networking is a plus
  • Enterprise Wireless Solutions
  • Next Generation Firewalls
  • IDS/IPS solutions
  • Network Access Control solutions
  • Content Security
  • Malware Prevention
  • Authentication solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

· CCNA

· Other Cisco or CompTIA Network + Certification or similar is a plus

· Experience with Cisco and Meraki technologies

· Working knowledge of IoT architectures, security, management and device integrations

· Experience with EIGRP, HSRP, BGP, VPC, VRF, VLAN Tagging, Spanning Tree, WAN, Firewalls, VPN

· Analytics, and/or data science skills

· Experience with AlienVault and SPLUNK a plus

· A creative mind, excellent interpersonal skills, and sense of humor are a must for this position

Education and Professional Qualifications:

· BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering Degree from an accredited University or equivalent experience.
